It is at the stage they starts developing sexually and many lies from agents of darkness starts filling their hearts and head. A little teenage girl asked me in one of my presentations in one of the schools that if it is bad for a girl to remain a virgin till she marries that some of her friends said is dangerous and it will affect them during child birth, more so their husbands will take them for an advantage. Trust me I handled her rightly and told her the importance of remaining a virgin till marriage, I told her that there is no disadvantage whatsoever.

At the age of ten, teach them sex education – tell them all they need to know about puberty and menstrual cycle. Let them know that the teenage age is a time to build career and make grades and not to have boy friends and lovers.

Show them care and concern – try and be their friend, provide for them all their essentials: under wears sanitary material, pocket money etc.

Be the first to them I love you – when they do something good appreciate them and tell them how proud you are. Show them love but don’t spoil them too much of everything is bad.

From the age of one don’t make love or romance with spouse in their presence – Always try to be conscious of their presence since little children will always want to practice what they see adults do.

Don’t allow them to be in the company of other grown up little children – those children may abuse your girl child, if they are corrupt and may deflower her with sharp objects.

Don’t allow anyone to call you girl child my wife – words are powerful you may not know when someone will satanically covenant you child. Above it is not decent to allow anyone call her my wife.

Don’t allow any male carry them on their laps – uncles are not exempted. At certain age don’t allow them run around with males. And when they are found of a particular male investigate what that male is up to.

Don’t be over protective – rather, show love and make them understand that they have to make you proud and become outstanding in the society. At the age of fourteen and above, know their friends and be close them.

Don’t scold them in the presence of their friends – some parents don’t know that children have little pride to keep. If you don’t want them to hate you, don’t punish them in public or make them feel ashamed. You express your displeasure anywhere but make them cry or sorry should be at home.

Be firm and discipline – you don’t have to pamper them or prefer them to other children, treat them equally but discipline them when the need arises.

Check their phones – check their inbox and sent items and photo gallery. Ask questions and make investigations if you have some doubt.

Lead exemplary life style – you can’t ask you child to be truthful, respectful, kind etc. if you are not. Let you life style speak more.
