A report aims to inform, as clearly and succinctly as possible.

Presentation and style are important. First impressions count, so consider these simple tips:

·                     ensure the separate parts of your report stand out clearly

·                     use subheadings

·                     allow generous spacing between the elements of your report

·                     use dot points/ numbers/ letters to articulate these elements

·                     use tables and figures (graphs, illustrations, maps etc) for  clarification.

·                     number each page

·                     use consistent and appropriate formatting

·                     use formal language

Avoid these:

·                     the inclusion of careless, inaccurate, or conflicting data

·                     the inclusion of outdated or irrelevant data

·                     facts and opinions that are not separated

·                     unsupported conclusions and recommendations

·                     careless presentation and proof-reading

·                     too much emphasis on appearance and not enough on content.

Time is life the misuse of it is the misuse of life. The proper investment of it is the proper use of life. We often say no time, just as if nature has preference or it’s partial in the distribution of it. What the rich or powerful has is what the weak or poor has in their disposal, the difference is how they where able to manage or invest it.

Time is a universal leveler, it’s not myopic in its disbursement, it gives out the same opportunity and payout according to how you where able to manage or use or waste or invest it. Wasting time is very easy just sit back doing nothing or be busy gossiping, watching movie better still visiting friends that is all you have killed then you await the reaping of untold and unending poverty.

Now how can one invest tome judiciously? It is simple but requires commitment, determination and discipline to follow the strategies I would want to enumerate and elucidate.

Stratagem 1 – Planning

Prioritize your daily activities, map out how and when to execute certain task according to their order of importance and urgency. Planning makes your life style well organized. For you to be well organized you have to make use of certain principles.

Principles

1. Get a check list; a to-do-list in their order of urgency and importance. For instance you have a football match to view which is urgent but not important and you have to iron your clothe for the next day job which is important but not urgent or you have to prepare dinner before your children go to bed that is important  and urgent.
2. Think ahead; do a brainstorming of the necessary items you may need to thoroughly or properly achieve good result for each day.
3. Don’t be an o! Yes member; learn to say no if it is not convenient no matter how you don’t really want to offend people. Say no to the things that are less important and focus on the more important ones. Why stress yourself and deprive yourself the joy of accomplishment that comes when goals are met.

Stratagem 2 – Eliminate time killers

There is lots of time killers– procrastination, fear of the unknown, fear to take risk, laziness, riotous life style etc.

Principles

The principles are for you to do the opposite that these time killers want you to do.

Procrastination is the thief of destiny yield to it and fall out of the path of success.

Don’t fear to fail because the fear of failure is worse than failure itself. A wise man once said that failure is just another way of telling you to change your method.

Dare to run the race dare to win, the risk is worth it.

Don’t fold your hands to say I am weak or I can’t get it down. You can if you think you can. Wake up you that love sleep.

You often go clubbing and paring by the time you are old you would have spent over 29 years drinking, partying and wasting your time. Save time save your future.

Stratagem 3 – Lead a balanced life.

Balance work and rest, work and family, family and friends and so on. There is time for everything, otherwise you cry I have no time. is just that you have failed to acknowledge that you need to balance everything around you. Work hard and rest well. Work but don’t forget your family. Make out time to boost your spirituality.

Principles

1. Work hard and rest well to recuperate.
2. Recreation and time with family will rejuvenate you. Because if you family is out of shape you will equally fall out of joy.
3. Set achievable goals so you don’t over work yourself and fall sick to spend your little savings in medication.
4. Go for check up and take medication because what you will lose when you are down can not be equated to what you will gain when fail to take care of yourself medically.

Stratagem 4 – Have good sense of judgment and value.

Poor sense of judgment will certainly limit you from investing you time rightly. And what you value will be what you will spend your time on.

Principle

1. Live a moral life to upgrade your value system and imbibe in you good judgment.
2. Cultivate love and humility so as to have a high standard of living.
3.  Place value on spiritual things and on things that endure for long and amount to progress.

The need of focus

In order to be a front runner in any worthy endeavor, focus is a core value you must possess. It is one thing to discover where you belong and it is another thing to stay on it. When you are committed to business you will eventually stand out. Running here and there leads to nowhere.

Matthew 6; 22 says, ‘’if your eyes be single your body shall be full of light’’ single here means focus. Thus light comes if you are focused on your assignment. Focus is a formidable force in your journey to leadership. Identify where you belong, embrace it, and stay there (focus).

Focus is the missing thing in our career today. You can never find a professor in any university who is professing in all fields. You can never hear of a popular general medical practitioner all over the world. When you operate as general anything, you dissolve into insignificant towards many directions. What you will hear is about a well known surgeon, gynecologist, pediatrician etc. It means a person may have knowledge of other things but he focuses on something. He is called a specialist.

What if I mention any of this great men (Adegboye; Benny Hinns; Oyedepo) what immediately comes to your mind? No wonder Jesus says that one thing is needful.  Don’t say I am a General Contractor. I guess it’s only in Nigeria that we have General Contractors.

Wrong ambition mixed with vision

Ambition is what you want while vision is what God wants you to do.

Some African Pastors in European countries mostly do not have churches with more than three hundred members because they mix wrong ambition with vision. Almost all of them are Pastors and car dealers at the same time.

However, there is a focused Nigerian Pastor in Ukraine and he Pastors a congregation of about five thousand people in a massively white dominated environment.

A great man would start witness a nose diving effect when they start mixing ambition with vision.

Mixing ambition with vision is like mixing water and oil and expecting them to blend.

Your ambition would be a strong tool of distraction that Satan would constantly use against you. Most people want quick money and there is no quick money in God’s kingdom. You must patiently follow the principles.

Many people are pursuing two rabbits at the same time and they end up catching none. You hardly know anybody for two things.

That is how they came to Jesus in John 6 with the intention of breaking His focus by making Him a King But Jesus maintained His focus and the result of His focus is even more radiant all over the world more than two thousand years after He ascended to glory.

It is not every good thing that comes your way that is from God. Not every good thing is for you to do. You only do every right thing according to your vision.

Many destinies are wasted because of wrong interest. You will have to consciously watch your interest so that your assignment can be preserved and given the utmost attention that it deserves.

Wrong company

·         It isn’t everybody at the Motor park or Airport that is travelling.

·         If you go to any airport there are people who know all the flight but they have not travelled on any.

·         It is not everybody in business that is going somewhere.

·         Proverbs 27; 17 also makes it clear that iron sharpens iron. Wood can never sharpen iron. Friendship is not by force, it is by choice.

      Ignorance of the packages of your assignment

·         Inside every assignment there is a consignment and inside every vision there is a provision.

·      Your true provision is only found in your vision. Sadly many of us believe we just have to do something to help God. Uzziah tried it and died. You are too small to help God. If what you are doing is what God wants you to do (vision) then remember the question Jesus asked His disciples; ‘’when I sent you lacked you anything?’’

Skepticism

Fear of the unknown can actual sway people from the pursuit of their goal. Taking bold step in the midst of uncertainty, can actual make one face his course in life. This is why people break their investment into fragments hoping that if one fails the other will succeed. That is living life to chance and luck.
